The Contour Design RollerMouse pro is an alternative to a standard PC mouse - a rollerbar is placed just below your keyboard's space bar - allowing you to move the mouse cursor without having to move your arms to each for your mouse.
The design of the RollerMouse Pro is meant to eliminate overreaching for your mouse, thus reducing stress and injuries to your shoulder and elbow. Your hands always stay close to the mousing device, so that it is never out of reach. And because the rollerbar is always situated close to both hands, the RollerMouse Pro can be used by both left-handed and right-handed users - you can even switch hands from time to time to even the workload!
The palm supports on the RollerMouse Pro give added support to your palms as you type on your keyboard, reducing the stress on your wrists.
The RollerMouse Pro's unique feature is the 'RollerBar', a cylindrical trackball with an optical sensor of 800 DPI. The rollerbar works by rolling the bar to move the cursor up and down on the screen. To move the cursor left or right, you simply slide the rollerbar side to side. In order that cursor movement remain centered throughout usage, there is an end detection mechanism that shifts the cursor to the left or right side of the screen when the rollerbar can no longer be moved any further left or right. There is a very slight 'click' feel as you reach either end of the rollerbar's limit, triggering end detection.
A dial on the bottom of the product adjusts the tension of RollerBar click force. Small dot requires least amount of pressure to click. Large dot requires most amount of pressure to click.
The RollerMouse Pro also comes with removable palm supports that give relief to your wrists as you type and use the rollerbar. These supports can be removed for cleaning, or you can add the RollerWave accessory to get extra support.
